Home Diagnosis IPF Sound Challenge

Take the challenge!

IPF is not just a challenging disease, it is also difficult to diagnose. Early symptoms such as dyspnoea on exertion and dry cough are often being ignored or misdiagnosed as part of another respiratory disease. But there is one symptom that is very typical and present in more than 80% of patients: the so-called “Velcro crackles”.

The IPF sound challenge, an application developed by Boehringer Ingelheim, allows you to playfully practice identifying various respiratory conditions, including IPF.

Take the challenge and test your ear now.
